Roads to Oban run through beautiful scenery; Edinburgh 120 miles, Glasgow 96 miles & London under 500 miles. From Glasgow you travel alongside Loch Lomond on the A82 until you reach Tarbet where you have the option of staying on the A82/A85 through Crianlarich, Tyndrum and on to Oban or follow the A83/A819 over the ‘Rest and be Thankful’ and through Inverary. Either journey takes between 2 - 3 hours, although you may be tempted to stop several times to admire the scenery.
